Specialty roasters who sell primarily whole bean often expose no general ground option, listing only brew-specific grinds or none at all, while mainstream sellers list ground as a first-class option. The split is genuinely unknown and the band is wide to say so.

The numeric fail-rate band this reasoning was authored with is NOT carried at grammar 1.2 and is not reproduced here. Authored bands held 1 of 10 against this category's own sample and every miss was HIGH, so a direction derived from the band would inherit the error that condemned it (SCHEMA.md §9.3 step 3). If you have no grinder, this is the question that decides whether the bag is usable to you. Check whether a ground option is actually selectable rather than whether the page mentions grinding, because many roasters describe a grinding service they do not offer as a purchasable option.

For a merchant

Add a purchasable option value using the word "Ground" for the general pre-ground item, separately from any brew-specific grind names, and keep the variant in stock rather than describing the service in prose only.

Grounding
